Love is in the air!
Have you also been hearing this, lately? All #twitter contests are revolving around Valentine’s Day, the Facebook updates have started to pour in, of the plans and vacations and specials planned for the 14th! And well, it is endearing indeed. Cliched, but endearing!
And so, I have today’s #throwbackthursday post dedicated to a travel destination best synonymous with love, and only love! Here, quite literally love is all around you. My husband and I spent 5 enchanting days in August 2013 in this lovers’ paradise, of course, for our honeymoon. Yes, we are talking about Bali, in Indonesia. We lounged on private beaches to the fancy pools of Grand Hyatt, but soon after our travellers’ feet began to get weary of our laziness. So, we hopped onto the walking trails that took us by the rice fields, soaking in the sun while talking to the locals; indulging in local food and leisurely surfing through the traditional art markets in Ubud.
I will reserve the details of our wonderful trip for another post (oh! there is so much to write about Bali!) but for this PHOTO series, I wanted to share this amazing view we had the privilege to lay eyes on, gaze at and absorb it all for hours together. We stood there still, holding hands, with wonder in our eyes, watching nature at play; as if it was only for us!
This is at the Uluwatu Temple, also infamously known as Monkey Temple.

Bali is a magical surreal place. We had been there in 2013 and loved it so much that we would love to go there again. Your post, Ramya, makes me so nostalgic of our trip. Thanks for sharing 🙂
