Musings over Tea

I am sat at my dining table with my laptop, browsing templates for certain designs I have to make over the next month. This is work now. I have started to pivot into a creative career track and this is just the beginning. I’m nervous and excited in equal measures, and wholly curious about where this path might take me!

I sip my tea and think about all the drawings I could make just about tea – of making it, of drinking it, of savouring it, of gulping the last few cold sips. I love tea and I think it really has the power to make you feel good no matter the situation you are in. The amount of time you spend drinking a cup of tea is, sometimes, exactly the length of a breather you need from a busy / hectic / overwhelming moment. It can help you collect your senses, pieces it back together slowly and then, on you go – recharged!

People say the same about coffee, but other than how good it smells, I’m not sure it does anything for me.

On that note, here’s a little drawing I made about these beverages and their respective place in my life.

I now own a custom coaster made on this design that lives in my kitchen and sparks a smile from my guests, and sometimes a debate too! Not a bad conversation starter, I think to myself.

I better get back to my templates, having sipped my cuppa while typing out my musings on tea for you all. Drop me a hello if you’re a fellow tea lover too! Coffee smellers and sippers are just as welcome 🙂 ❤
